Delete your account and data

You can delete your JAALLE account at any time, from inside the app or from the website. You do not need to contact us first and you do not need a reason. This page explains exactly what happens when you do.

How to delete your account

In the app, or on this site

Open Settings → Delete account, then type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm. You will be offered a copy of your data to download first. Deletion begins immediately.

If you can no longer sign in

Email privacy@jaalle.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Removed permanently

Your profile — name, photo, phone number, bio, location and store details
Every listing you posted, withdrawn from the marketplace
The contents of messages you sent
Your saved items, favourites and saved searches
Your sign-in credentials, so the account can no longer be used

What we keep, and why

Retained, no longer linked to you

Records of completed payments, escrow releases and wallet transactions
Order and delivery records belonging to the other party in a transaction
Reports made about fraud or abuse, where an investigation is open

Money that changed hands leaves a record on both sides. Deleting your account cannot erase the other person’s receipt, and a transaction history is what protects either of you if a past sale is ever disputed. These records are stripped of your name and kept for seven years, then deleted.

How long it takes

Your listings disappear and your account stops working immediately. Personal data is removed from our live systems within 24 hours and from encrypted backups within 30 days, as backups age out on their own schedule.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account afterwards, so download your data first if you want to keep a copy of what you sold.
